Jacquie Campbell’s tribute was so touching and personal…full of reflection, sincerity and kindness. A fitting tribute and true testimony to a great man. It was the most moving service I have witnessed. Thank you, Jacquie, for your large heart and thoughtful way.
Thank you so much. The service was perfect. I have many emails this morning from friends who watched on line saying how perfectly you captured her spirit. It was lovely to hear that from people who had known her at different times in her life. It was very special.

When we lost a very dear friend to Covid19, and his wife told us there would be no funeral due to the spread of the virus until it’s all over, we decided to have an online service. We contacted Jacquie through the Humanists UK website as our friend was a humanist too. Jacquie replied immediately and even that first email from her was a source of great comfort. She confidently, yet calmly made suggestions of readings and songs for the service (from things we had told her about our friend). Even the way she spoke to us gave us emotional support over the phone and on video chat. After speaking with her about our friend, she wrote a beautiful tribute that spoke of our friend in a meaningful and touching way. His wife said after the event that Jacquie had described his essence to a T. Jacquie gave us comfort and helped us to feel hope at a time when we really needed it most. I will never forget what Jacquie has done for us and our community.
